Animal Rescue

We rescue turtles, tortoises, and other small animals that are in need of a caring and protected home for a variety of reasons. Some are abandoned, some are found, and others outlive their caretakers! The majority stay here on the ranch, while others are re-released into their native habitat, and some are made available for adoption. We are no longer taking in Large sulcata tortoises at this time- we currently have no space available.

We’ve taken in animals from all over the state of California, the country, and some from over seas! and will continue to do so for as long as we have the space and resources.  Most turtles and tortoises are welcome, along with some small farm animals. Due to animal safety concern and other liabilities, we cannot take any poisonous animals, nor snapping turtles, snakes, large farm animals (such as horses and cows), pigs or peacocks, and no other animals considered dangerous to children. You can email me anyway and I may be able to connect you with someone “looking for” a particular animal. Also, please email if you have lost your tortoise, we have a running list of “lost and found” tortoises.
